Gym, PE and Sports 

The school has access to our local leisure centre in Purley and its range of facilities. We also have a large outside area including a fully equipped gym.  Every year all the students at Kingsdown attend our sports residential K2 Adventures where they have the opportunity to participate in activities ranging from canoeing, absailing, co steering, rock climbing, football and swimming.

Physical education is crucial because it: “Promotes physical skillfulness, physical development and a knowledge of the body in action… provides opportunities for pupils to be creative, competitive and to face up to different challenges…”       National Curriculum 2000
